A specific and very relevant use of continuous inkjet encoders in the food-processing industry is to print the laying date on eggs. The information carrier, which is used for the labeling of products, is oftentimes not visible for everybody. The continuous inkjet technology proved itself by its efficient method to quickly label vast numbers of products of mass consumption. The fact that there is a constant flow of ink in the print head explains why this technique was named continuous inkjet. The implementation of marking technology in existing production facilities is not always uncomplicated, but manageable with proper planning. The continuous inkjet is a very sophisticated technical form, making the technology the preferred procedure for high-resolution printing. Continuous refinements in the last years led to the welcome situation whereby electrolytic marking systems became very precise.
